Profitec Move: Safety Switch Reset

Is one, or both, of the boilers in your Profitec Move failing to heat? A tripped safety switch may be the cause.

Tools Needed:

  • 2.5mm Allen key (for removing the top panel)

  • Screwdriver or other long-handled tool


​Steps:

  1. Unplug the Profitec Move and allow it to cool completely

  2. Remove the top panel of the Profitec Move. (link Panel Removal article)

  3. Locate the safety switches (2) on the coffee boiler. Using a screwdriver or, your finger, firmly press down on the buttons located in the center of the safety switches. You may feel the button depress and hear a click if one of the safety switches has been tripped.

  4. Locate the safety switches (2) on the steam boiler. Using a screwdriver or, your finger, firmly press down on the buttons located in the center of the safety switches. You may feel the button depress and hear a click if one of the safety switches has been tripped.
