Tools needed:
2.5mm allen key
3mm allen key
17mm wrench
Scouring pad or wire bristle brush
Teflon tape
NOTE: The machine must be unplugged and cool to the touch before beginning.
1) Start by removing the panels from the machine.
2) Locate the temperature sensor on top of the brew boiler, and disconnect the wire.
3) Make note of the orientation of the wires on the safety switch in the center of the boiler, and using a 17mm crescent wrench, loosen the safety switch and then use your fingers to unscrew it the rest of the way. This will allow for a bit more room to remove the temperature sensor.
4) Use the 14mm wrench to remove the temperature sensor by twisting counterclockwise.
5) Remove the temperature sensor from the machine and inspect for buildup or scale.
6) Use a scouring pad or wire bristle brush to clean the temperature sensor. You can also replace the temperature sensor with a new one if necessary.
7) Seal the temperature sensor threads with a few wraps of Teflon tape.
7) Reinstall the temperature sensor, reconnect the wiring and test. We recommend leaving the top panel off of your machine to make sure that there are no leaks while testing.
