Upgrading your Water Softener Cartridge from 2 Cartridges to 1

Tools needed:

1. Shut off the water from the water main and release the pressure from the relief valve pointing downward.

2. Remove the water lines from both sides, and then disconnect the outlet tee from the water softening cartridge.

3. Attach the tee to the outlet side of the new system, then reconnect the water lines. Flush the filter out of the relief valve before opening the water line to the machine.
