Tools needed:
- Philips head screw driver
- 17mm deep socket + socket wrench
- Pliers
- Wire bristle brush
*Make sure the machine is unplugged and completely cooled down.*
1. Remove the top panel and locate the hot water solenoid:
2. Use the Philips-head screw driver to unscrew the power cable from the solenoid coil box:
3. Remove the retaining clip, and then lift the solenoid coil box off of the solenoid armature:
4. Use a 17mm deep socket to unscrew the solenoid armature from the assembly:
5. Inspect for any build up in the solenoid valve body.
6. Clean the black rubber sealing surface on the solenoid piston. Also make sure that the piston is able to move freely inside the armature.
Now, follow these instructions in reverse order to reassemble the solenoid.
