LUCCA A53: Resetting the Brew Boiler Safety Switch

If your brew boiler (aka coffee boiler) fails to heat, here is the first step of troubleshooting to check if the over-temperature safety switch has been tripped.

Tools required:

  • #2 Philips head

 

Before continuing ensure the machine is fully cooled and unplugged from the power source.

  1. Remove the top panel.

  2. Identify the safety switch:

  3. Gently press down on the small red button to reset the switch. It may help to remove the wiring connections for better access:

  4. The button may not make a physical or audible click, but this procedure is still an important troubleshooting first step.
