Lucca X58: Power Switch Replacement
These instructions demonstrate how to replace the power switch on the Lucca X58 espresso machine.
Tools Needed:
- Philips head screwdriver
- Slip-joint pliers
- Masking tape
NOTE: The machine must be powered off and unplugged before beginning.
1. Remove the panels from the machine.
2. Identify the machine's power switch.
3. Remove the brown power wires from the back of the power switch.
4. Remove the blue power wires from the back of the power switch.
5. On the front of the machine, identify the knurled retaining ring that holds the power switch in place.
6. Use the masking tape to mask off the front panel of the machine around the retaining ring. This will protect the stainless steel finish from accidental damage.
7. Use the slip-joint pliers to gently grip the retaining ring. Turn the retaining ring counter-clockwise, just enough to loosen it.
8. Finish unscrewing the retaining ring with your fingers.
9. You can now slide the old power switch out through the back of the front panel.
10. Insert the new power switch and follow these instructions in reverse to finish installing it.
NOTE: Consult the photos in Step 2 and Step 3 to make sure that the switch and the wires are installed in the correct orientation.
