LUCCA Tempo: Panel Removal

Remove the three screws holding the top panel with the smaller #1 Philips head screwdriver.

Lift the top panel up and out. A pick or curved implement may help lift the panel. The internal components are now visible.

Removing the front panel may be necessary to service the three-way solenoid. There are eight screws holding this panel in place. With the machine upright, remove the four on the front panel using the larger #2 Philips head screwdriver.

The grouphead cowl must be removed before continuing. There are two screws, one on either side.

It may be necessary to brace the machine with one hand while turning the screwdriver with the other to prevent stripping the screws.

Support the cowl while removing it from the machine.
​

Finally, there are two more screws underneath the overhang of the grouphead. It may be easier to remove these with the machine on its back.

Wiggle the front panel until it is able to slide past the grouphead and steam wand. Rotating the steam wand inwards may create a bit more clearance. Exercise care not to scratch or damage any of the chrome plating.

The grouphead solenoid and drip tray drain port are now accessible
