ECM Puristika: Replacing the SSR

Trouble heating up all the way or intermittent heating issues could indicate a faulty SSR. These instructions demonstrate how to access the SSR in your ECM Puristika.

Tools Needed:
- 3mm Allen wrench or hex driver
- 2.5mm Allen wrench or hex driver

NOTE: The machine should be unplugged and cool to the touch before beginning.

1. Disconnect the water supply lines from the machine. Set the reservoir aside.

2. Unscrew the four housing screws from the from the front of the machine.

3. Unscrew the four housing screws from the back of the machine.

4. Carefully lift the housing straight up and away from the machine. Set the housing aside somewhere safe.

5. Identify the SSR, located on the left side of the machine.

6. Unscrew the two SSR retaining screws.

7. You can now unplug the wires from the old SSR and transfer them to the new SSR.

Make sure that the wires on the new SSR are installed in the same orientation as pictured above. 

8. Follow these instructions in reverse order to replace the SSR retaining screws and reinstall the housing on the machine.
