LUCCA A53 / Vivaldi: Misaligned Pressure Gauge
If the pressure gauge in your La Spaziale LUCCA A53 or Vivaldi espresso machine is misaligned, it can be shifted back into place with a few simple steps. Below you will find instructions on how to adjust the pressure gauge.
NOTE: Make sure that the machine is unplugged and cool to the touch before beginning.
Tools Needed:
- Phillips Screwdriver
- 7mm socket (if nut is too tight for adjustments to be made)
1. Remove the front panel of the machine

2. Identify the gauge behind the front panel and determine how much it needs to be adjusted and in which direction.

3. You should be able to move the gauge with your hand, though there may be a little resistance. Adjust the gauge so that it's sitting level.

(If the gauge can't be easily adjusted by hand, you may need to loosen the 7mm retaining nut first. See below.)
4. Use the lower front panel to check the alignment of the pressure gauge before finishing up. Hold the panel in place with your hand, making sure that it's level on both sides. Remove the panel and adjust the gauge as necessary until the gauge is centered in the window and both the gauge and panel are level.

5. If the gauge feels loose, doesn't stay in place, or you had to loosen the retain nut to adjust it into place, tighten the retaining before re-installing the lower front panel. This nut only needs to be hand tight.

6. You can now replace the lower front panel and re-install the screws, making sure that the lower panel is level.
