LUCCA A53 / A53 Mini: Programming Volumetric Settings
Below are step-by-step instructions as well as a video to show you how to program your LUCCA A53 espresso machine for volumetric dosing. (Difficulty ☕)
Important Note: Your grind must be dialed-in to consistently pull shots at your preferred recipe in order for the machine's volumetric dosing to be accurate. The machine's volumetric dosing is only able to be set accurately if the grind and recipe is consistent.
Understanding Your Brew Pressure Gauge
First, power the machine on by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds. You will know the machine is on when the power button stays solid and the brew boiler set temperature light starts blinking.
Allow the machine to fully heat, then press and hold the power button again for 5 seconds. This will put the machine into its volumetric settings mode. You will know that the machine is in the volumetric settings mode when both the power light and the set temperature light blink.
Next, pull a shot using either the single shot or double shot button, and press the same button once you've reached your desired volume.
Finally, press the power button one more time, and voila, your shot is timed for future use.
This mode can also be used to operate the machine manually for testing purposes. Pressing either the one cup or two cup button in this mode will start the brew function, pressing the same button again will stop it.
