Lelit Bianca: E61 Gicleur and Mushroom Housing Installation
If you find yourself needing to replace the gicleur and/or the mushroom housing on your Bianca's E61 group head, here's how: (Difficulty ☕☕☕)
What you'll need:
- 7mm socket wrench
- 22mm wrench
- Large adjustable wrench
- Microfiber cloth or towel to protect chrome finish
To install the gicleur into the mushroom housing:
Take the 7mm socket wrench and insert the gicleur into the socket. It's possible you'll need to use some padding to create a shorter barrel for the gicleur to sit in, providing enough resistance to push the gicleur into the mushroom housing threading.
A small piece of paper would do the trick! While screwing the gicleur into the housing, be careful not to over-tighten. This is a fragile piece that can snap if met with too much force.
To replace the housing into the E61 grouphead:
Take your 22mm wrench, or a second adjustable wrench, and put it on the top nut - the flow needle. Using your larger adjustable wrench on the lower nut, loosen the flow needle while holding the lower nut in place.
Remove the flow needle assembly, inspecting for a bent or damaged needle tip under the screen filter.
Use the large adjustable wrench to now remove the lower nut - this is the mushroom housing with the gicleur installed.
Remove the mushroom housing, and be aware of the large spring inside this chamber. There will be pressure pushing the housing up and out.
To reassemble, follow these instructions in reverse order. If you have any questions, contact us at support@clivecoffee.com
