LUCCA M58 V2: Inspecting Magnet Float and Reservoir Outlet Assembly

Use this guide to troubleshoot a physical issue with your V2 M58's magnet float or reservoir outlet assembly.

Tools Needed:
- #2 Phillip's Screwdriver

1. Remove the water reservoir from the machine and identify the magnet float housing.

2. Make sure there are no obstructions to the outlet assembly, and that the metal valve piston can be pressed in and returns to the pictured position.

3. Use the #2 Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four screws as shown.

4. Remove the outlet assembly from the reservoir and gently pry off the while cap caovering the magnet float. M58 water outlet valve

5. Remove the magnet float and clean out any debris found around the metal piston or the rest of the assembly.

6. Test the magnet float in a bowl of water to verify that it actually floats before reassembling reservoir outlet assembly.

7. Make sure that the outlet assembly is correctly oriented when reassembling. The square part of the magnet float needs to point toward the front of the machine when the reservoir is installed.
