LUCCA X58: Panel Removal
Follow these instructions to remove the panels from your LUCCA X58 for maintenance or repair. (Difficulty ☕☕)
Tools needed:
- Philips head screw driver
NOTE: The machine should be unplugged and cool to the touch before you begin.
1. Remove the cup warming tray, drip tray, and reservoir from the machine:
2. Remove the two screws attached to the back panel with a Philips head screwdriver:
3. Once the two screws are removed, apply pressure to the top of the back panel to release the pop screws:
4. Using a towel to support the group head, carefully tilt the machine on its front to access the screws on the bottom of the machine:
5. Remove the 2 screws on the top:
6. And these 3 screws from the bottom:
7. The left & right side panels have a tab on them that needs to come around and over the top panel:
8. If you need to access the boiler or any internal components, you'll need to remove the reservoir panel. First, remove the nut attached to the expansion valve:
9. Then remove the tubing from the inlet and lift the reservoir panel up and off to the side (you shouldn't need to disconnect the wires unless otherwise instructed by a technician.)
Now you have access to the inside of your LUCCA X58!
** If you need to test your machine with the panels off to check for a leak or an electrical issue you can set up the water tank like so (just make sure to reattach the tubing to the reservoir inlet:)
