Profitec Pro 600: Boiler Draining

This article will show you how to drain the boiler of your Profitec Pro 600, to prepare it for shipment or storage, if the boilers of your machine are able to heat

Tools Needed:
  • 2 Cup Measuring Cup
  • Large Pitcher
  • Towels

1. Allow your Pro 600 to heat fully.  Then turn off and unplug your machine.  Remove the cup warming tray, water reservoir, and drip tray.

2. Standing in front of your Pro 600, use a towel to grab the top of the machine where the water reservoir sits and tip the machine towards you.  Holding it with one hand so the machine is balancing on the frame/legs.

3. Place the measuring cup below the grouphead and lift the brew lever  Allow the water to siphon out of the grouphead.  Approximately 10-16 ounces of water should dispense from the grouphead.  Lower the brew lever.

4.  Set your Pro 600 back down and the pitcher below the hot water tap.  Open the hot water valve and allow the hot water to dispense until the flow stops.  Once the water stops flowing you may close the valve.
