Profitec GO: Inspecting and Replacing the In-line Filter
A low-flow or low-pressure condition at your Profitec GO's group head can often be traced to a clogged in-line filter. These directions will help you replace the in-line filter in your machine.
Tools Needed:
- 2.5mm Allen key or hex driver
- Replacement In-line Filter
1. Remove the reservoir cover and reservoir from the machine. Set aside.
2. Use the 2.5mm Allen key or hex driver to remove the six screws holding the back panel in place. Lift the back panel out and set aside.
3. Identify the in-line filter in the machine.
4. Disconnect the silicone intake tubing from the gray inlet adapter.
5. Disconnect the silicone tubing from both sides of the in-line filter.
6. Install the replacement in-line filter and reinstall the silicone intake tubing by following the previous directions in reverse order. Replace the back panel and reinstall the reservoir and reservoir cover.
NOTE: If you are using distilled water or reverse osmosis water with a re-mineralizer (like Third Wave Water or similar products), your machine may benefit from omitting the in-line filter to preserve pump functionality.
1. Disconnect the silicone intake tubing and in-line filter from the gray inlet adapter.
2. Connect the remaining silicone tubing from the pump directly to the gray inlet adapter.
3. Make sure that there is enough slack in the tubing that it doesn't kink or fold.
