Profitec MOVE: Removing the Panels

This guide demonstrates how to remove the panels from your Profitec MOVE.

Tools Needed:
- 3mm Allen wrench or hex driver
- 2.5mm Allen wrench or hex driver
- Towel(s)
- Something to support the front of the machine, in this guide we use a large ramekin.

1. Start by removing the reservoir and reservoir cover from the machine.

2. Remove the four screws holding the top panel in place, then set the top panel aside.

The next steps are more easily accomplished by turning the machine around as shown.

3. Loosen the two screws that hold the wrap-around panel to the front of the machine. There’s one on each side.

4. Remove the four screws that attach the wrap-around panel to the lower panel. There are two on each side.

5. Carefully slide the wrap-around panel straight back, then lift it off the machine and set it aside. 
(You may need to further loosen the two front screws.)

NOTE: Many maintenance tasks can be accomplished by just removing the wraparound panel. If you're able to reach everything you need to reach, feel free to stop here. Otherwise, continue on to remove the lower panel from the machine.

6. Place your chosen support in front of the machine and cover it with a folded towel to protect the machine's finish. You may want to lay another towel down to protect your work surface.

7. Tip the machine forward so that it rests on the support and its drip tray frame as shown.

8. Remove the four screws holding the lower panel in place.

9. Shift the lower panel toward the bottom of the machine to free the upper portion from the slotted pegs.

10. Now you can gently spread the lower panel and lift it up and away from the machine.

11. Remove the two screws that hold the water reservoir tray in place.

12. Carefully tip the machine back onto its feet.

13. Lift the reservoir tray up and set it alongside the machine.

You are now ready to get to work!
