Below you will find instructions for cleaning scale buildup from steam or hot water copper pipes on the Quick Mill LUCCA M58 espresso machine. (Difficulty ☕☕)
The machine MUST be cooled down before undoing any of these fittings for safety purposes.
Tools Needed:
- 17mm wrench
- Phillips screwdriver
1. Remove the panels of the M58.
Steam Arm
1. Take the copper fitting off of the back of the steam arm with the 17mm wrench.

2. Clean out any scale buildup.

3. Reattach and test for steam function.
If the issue remains, remove the other side of the copper tube and clean out any scale buildup from that end.
Hot Water Arm
1. Take the copper fitting off of the back of the hot water arm with the 17mm wrench.

2. Clean out any scale buildup.

3. Reattach and test for hot water function.
If the issue remains, remove the other side of the copper tube and clean out any scale buildup from that end.
