LUCCA M58: Cleaning Steam and Hot Water Compression Fittings
Below you will find instructions for cleaning scale buildup the from steam or hot water delivery tubing on the Quick Mill LUCCA M58 espresso machine.
Note: Ensure the machine is unplugged from power and allow it to fully cool before continuing. The steam boiler must be fully depressurized before disconnecting any fittings.
Tools Needed:
- 17mm wrench
- Phillips screwdriver
1. Remove the panels of the M58.
Steam Delivery Tube
2. Remove the copper fitting from the back of the steam arm with a 17mm wrench. Gently loosen the opposite end of the fitting on the steam boiler to allow it to rotate out of the way.

2. Clean out any scale buildup. A toothpick or paperclip can help dislodge any buildup.

3. Reattach and test for steam function. Tighten gently to avoid over-tightening the fitting.
Hot Water Delivery Tube
1. Loosen the copper fitting on the back of the hot water arm with a 17mm wrench.

2. Inspect for scale buildup and clean out any deposits as detailed previously.

3. Reattach and test for hot water function.
If the issue persists, it may be necessary to disconnect the opposite side of the delivery tubing and inspect the boiler compression fittings for any signs of scale buildup.
