La Marzocco: Receiving Your Espresso Machine

Learn how to inspect your La Marzocco espresso machine shipment before you sign and the delivery driver leaves.

Congratulations! Your machine has shipped! At Clive, we try to do everything we can to ensure that your new machine arrives in perfect condition, ready to be installed and get to work. On rare occasions, equipment can be damaged during shipping. We’ve taken some steps to help avoid damage and protect your machine. Specifically, every machine ships with a “drop-n-tell” shock sensor that activates if the pallet experiences a heavy impact or shock while in transit. To help protect your investment, make sure you are aware of how to examine your new machine when it arrives.

The flow-chart below outlines instructions for consumers, or anyone else that signs the delivery receipt for La Marzocco equipment.

We can not stress how important it is to open the package and check for any machine damage – before you sign for the machine, and the delivery driver leaves, forever… Don’t feel pressured to just sign so the delivery driver can get on with his route – your new machine is a big investment, so it’s just fine to have him wait for a few minutes while you take a peek at the goods. If for some reason you don’t have time to inspect the machine for possible shipping damage, write “Received, but not inspected”, and this will protect you if you later find that something was damaged.

Have a look at these instructions and be ready to receive your next La Marzocco espresso machine in fine condition.
