LUCCA M58: PID Shot Timer Not Turning On

If you find the shot timer function on your Quick Mill LUCCA M58 espresso machine not working, it's potentially due to two wires being flipped on the back of the switch.

In this article you will find the proper spot for the shot timer wire.

1. Remove the panels of the M58.

2. Remove the motor capacitor by loosening/removing this nut and sliding the capacitor out of place.

3. Trace the purple wire from the black control box up to the back of the switch. If it's in the correct spot, the wire will be plugged into the center slot located where the arrow is pointing. If you find the wire connected to a different slot, you will likely just need to switch the wires around on the back of the switch to put the timer wire in the center slot.
