ECM Mechanika V Slim: Replacing the Safety Valve

If your machine over-pressurizes and you hear a loud popping sound, you may need to replace your safety valve.

What you'll need: 

- 20mm wrench

- PTFE Tape (optional)

 

First, you'll need to take off the top panel of your machine. Take a look at the top of your boiler, and locate the safety valve. ECM-Mechanika-Safety-Valve

Wrap the threads of the replacement valve in PTFE tape, and screw it into the top of the boiler. Hand-tight plus a quarter turn with a wrench should be plenty tight. ECM-Mechanika-Safety-Valve-Replacement
