Linea Mini: Cleaning Group Head Gicluer
In this article, you will see the step-by-step process for cleaning the gicluer in the group head of the La Marzocco Linea Mini Espresso Machine. (Difficulty ☕☕☕)
Tools Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Adjustable wrench
1. Turn the machine off. Allow it to cool down fully.
2. Remove the top panel of the machine (Linea Panel Removal Instructions).
3. Unthread the copper tubes running into the group head solenoid. Also, unthread the collar holding the solenoid on.
4. Ensure you do not lose the washer on the solenoid - it can be easy to drop inside the machine.
5. Unthread the solenoid shaft from the body after sliding the black box off the solenoid and moving it out of the way.
6. Using the flat parts on the solenoid body (gold valve), unthread the solenoid body with a towel underneath to protect any components from the small amount of water that will come out of the group. The gicluer is located right on the end, and can be soaked in descaling solution and cleaned out before reinstalling.
