Tools Needed:

  • Phillips Screwdriver
  • 14mm Wrench
  • 22mm Wrench
  • Adjustable Wrench
(You can use two adjustable wrenches if you don't have a set of metric wrenches.)

1. Remove the panels of the machine.

2. Unscrew the retaining nut holding the solenoid coil in place using a 14mm wrench.

You can then slide the solenoid coil (black box) off of the solenoid armature (steel shaft). Keep track of any washers that come off along with the solenoid coil.

3. Unscrew the solenoid armature using the 22mm wrench.

You will need to use the adjustable wrench to hold the valve body so you don't bend the copper connecting tube.
