Lelit Bianca: Checking the Steam Boiler Temperature Probe

In this article, you'll see the step-by-step process for removing your steam temperature probe and cleaning it on your Lelit Bianca espresso machine. (Difficulty ☕☕)

Tools needed:

  • #2 Phillips head screwdriver
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • 17mm wrench
  • Teflon plumbers tape

1. Drain your steam boiler and turn the machine off. Disconnect from the power source, and allow it to cool down completely.

2. Remove the panels.

3. Locate the temperature probe on top of the steam boiler.

4. Using a 17mm wrench, remove the temperature probe and inspect for buildup.

5. Use a Scotch Brite pad to clear the opening and the probe free of debris.

6.  Be sure to wrap the threads of the probe with Teflon tape to create a tighter seal. Pre-twist the wire in the opposite direction of the thread to avoid damage to the wire.

7. Follow these steps in reverse to reinstall.
