Lelit Mara X: Replacing the Heating Element
Follow this guide to remove and replace the heating element in your Lelit Mara X.
Tools Needed:- #2 Philips head screwdriver
- 38mm deep impact socket
- Impact driver
- Replacement heating element
- Replacement heating element gasket
1. Start by draining the machine. Then unplug the machine and allow it to cool.
2. Tilt the machine up onto its front, carefully resting it on the group head. You may want to place a towel under the machine or group head to prevent marring the finish.
(There is no need to remove the side panels at this time.)
3. Locate the access panel on the underside of the machine and remove it by unscrewing the four Philips head screws shown here.
4. Identify the heating element.
5. Unplug the electrical connections from the heating element.
6. Use the impact driver and impact socket to unscrew the heating element from the boiler.
7. To replace the heating element and element gasket, start screwing in the element by hand, then when it can't be turned any more by hand, switch to the impact driver.
NOTE: The heating element must be installed at 100Nm (74 ft. lbs.) of torque to prevent leaks.
