LUCCA X58: Cleaning the Fill Probe
If your machine is over-filling or over-pressurizing, we recommend cleaning your fill probe .
Before servicing, please unplug your machine and allow it to cool and depressurize.
Then, you will need to remove the panels.
Tools needed:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- 13mm crescent wrench
1. The first thing you will need to do is disconnect the wires on the safety switch and then remove the switch, twisting to the left with your fingers. (This part is very delicate so please only use your hands)
2. Now that you have access, you can remove the lead wire from the fill probe.
3. Using a 13mm crescent wrench, loosen the compression nut holding the probe by turning to the left. You should only need to loosen, not remove this part unless there is a good amount of buildup.
4. You should now be able to pull the probe straight up and out of the boiler for inspection.
5. Depending on the state of your fill probe, you may want to soak this part in a mix of hot water and Cafiza before scrubbing it clean using a Scotch-Brite Pad.
6. Once you have confirmed that your probe is clean, replace it into the compression fitting. Tighten by turning to the right.
7. Plug the red lead wire back onto the fill probe. Replace the safety switch by hand and plug the blue wires back in. Test your machine before repaneling.
