Profitec Pro 400: Disassembling the Reservoir Tray
Many repair and maintenance tasks require moving your Pro 400's reservoir holding tray for better access. Use the following instructions to accomplish that.
Tools Needed:
- 3mm Allen wrench or hex driver
- Towel
1. Start by draining the machine's boiler.
2. Next, remove the panels from the machine.
3. Tilt the machine onto its front, so that it rests on the lower part of the frame and the E61 group head. Place a folded towel under the group head to prevent accidental damage.
4. Identify the two reservoir tray retaining screws on the bottom of the machine as indicated and then use the 3mm Allen wrench to remove them.
5. Carefully tip the machine back onto its feet.
6. Unscrew the water tank adapter retaining nut by hand.
7. Pull the water tank adapter free of the reservoir tray.
8. Gently lift the reservoir holding tray up and swing it out to the side of the machine.
NOTE: During the course of your maintenance or repair, you may need to move the reservoir tray back and forth to gain the best access to the components you're working on; be extra careful not to disturb any of the electrical components or tug any of the wires.
9. Follow these instructions in reverse to re-assemble the reservoir tray.
