WEBER WORKSHOPS The Key Coffee Grinder: User Manual
In this manual, you should find everything you need to operate and maintain your WEBER WORKSHOPS KEY coffee grinder.
Before operating your KEY coffee grinder, make sure you have carefully read the Setup Guide. Check the product page for a list of included accessories, details, and specs.
For help dialing in your grinder for the perfect shot, check out our article How to Dial In Your Espresso Grinder. For help pulling great shots, check out our Espresso 101 section to learn how to pull shots, steam milk, and more!
How to use the KEY
- Measure your desired coffee dose by using a scale.
- Using the included RDT bottle, give the beans a quick spritz of water. Mix or shake the beans.
- Turn on the grinder by pressing the ON/OFF button on the right side of the grinder for a hot start. Feed the beans into the grinder by taking off one or both sides of the magnetic bean cover.
- Press the ON/OFF button once all beans are ground through.
- Remove the Magic Tumbler and place it on top of your 58mm portafilter.
- Remove the plunger so the coffee grounds can fall into your portafilter basket.
- Perform your normal puck prep routine and pull your shot!
- If you need to make a grind adjustment in the fine direction (clockwise) because your espresso may be pulling too fast, lift up and turn the grind mechanism clockwise a few tick marks. Pull another shot, and repeat if necessary. If your shots are pulling way too slowly, move the grind adjustment mechanism coarser (counterclockwise).
For help dialing in your grinder for the perfect shot, check out our article How to Dial In Your Espresso Grinder. For help pulling great shots, check out our Espresso 101 section to learn how to pull shots, steam milk, and more!
