How to use the KEY

  • Measure your desired coffee dose by using a scale.
  • Using the included RDT bottle, give the beans a quick spritz of water. Mix or shake the beans.
  • Turn on the grinder by pressing the ON/OFF button on the right side of the grinder for a hot start. Feed the beans into the grinder by taking off one or both sides of the magnetic bean cover.
  • Press the ON/OFF button once all beans are ground through.
  • Remove the Magic Tumbler and place it on top of your 58mm portafilter.
  • Remove the plunger so the coffee grounds can fall into your portafilter basket.
  • Perform your normal puck prep routine and pull your shot!
  • If you need to make a grind adjustment in the fine direction (clockwise) because your espresso may be pulling too fast, lift up and turn the grind mechanism clockwise a few tick marks. Pull another shot, and repeat if necessary. If your shots are pulling way too slowly, move the grind adjustment mechanism coarser (counterclockwise).
