Ascaso Steel DUO: Removing the Top Panel

You may need to remove the machine's top panel to perform basic maintenance or light repairs.

Tools needed:
- 2.5mm Allen wrench or hex driver

 

1. Make sure that the water reservoir is empty or remove it from the machine.

2. Turn the machine around and remove the two Allen head screws shown here with the 2.5mm Allen wrench or hex driver.

3. Lift up firmly on the rear side of the top panel, it should pivot at the front like a hinge. Then gently pull the whole top panel straight back as shown.

4. Identify the ground wire (green/yellow) and power wires (brown) for the top tray cup warming pad. Disconnect the wires and set the cup top panel aside.

5. You can now perform any necessary inspection or maintenance through the top of the machine.
