      Eureka Mignon Single Dose Pro Espresso Grinder: Setup Guide

      Congratulations on your new Eureka Mignon Single Dose Pro Espresso Grinder. Let's get it set up!

      This quick-start guide will walk you through setting up your grinder. Check the product page for a list of included accessories, details, and specs. See the User Manual for information on operating the grinder and for additional resources.

      Step 1: Out of the box and onto the counter

      • Remove the grinder from its box and place it on a solid, level surface.
      • Inspect the grinder for any damage. If you notice any, contact us immediately.
      • Place the hopper into the grinder, and if you wish to use it, attach the bellows and the grinder lid. 
      • Set the dosing cup onto the wood dosing cup rest with the anti-chaff funnel attached.
      • Ensure the rotating metal tab is closed before adding coffee to the hopper.

      Step 2: Operating your grinder

      • Plug in your grinder.
      • The activation switch on the chassis's rear right side turns the grinder motor on and off. 
      • With the metal tab closed, activate the grinder using the switch, then add coffee beans to the hopper.
      • With coffee in the hopper and the motor running, open the tab, allowing the coffee to grind into the dosing cup. 
      • Close the metal tab and use the blow-up hopper to push any remaining grounds through the burr chamber.
      • Once your coffee dose is ground, use the bellows to clean the remaining coffee grounds from the chute while the grinder runs.
      • Turn off the grinder using the activation switch. 

      Step 3: Dialing in your grind

      • Adjust the grind setting by turning the large dial on top of the grinder. The grinder is infinitely adjustable, with up to 20 settings and a revolution counter serving merely as reference points when you're using the grinder for espresso or other brew methods. Turning the dial clockwise (towards smaller numbers) adjusts the grind setting finer, and turning counter-clockwise (towards larger numbers) adjusts the grind setting coarser. When dialing in for espresso, make small adjustments, in increments of 1/4 - 1/2 a number at a time, as this mechanism is very sensitive. 
      • Note: If you adjust the dial in the fine direction more than 2 numbers at a time, the grinder may jam. 
      • Note: for espresso grinding, you will likely stay within the revolution counter of 1, and work within the settings within one revolution of the dial. 
      • Using the grinder for drip coffee and pour-over will require a large adjustment, likely an entire 360-degree rotation or two. The revolution counter tracks this. When moving from espresso to pour-over, i.e., fine to coarse, it is okay that the grinder is not running. When making large adjustments back to espresso, i.e., coarse to fine, it's best to have the grinder running so that it does not jam. 
      • If coffee does not come through the grinder at any point, this could indicate that the setting is too fine or jammed. Open the burrs to free the coffee by turning counter-clockwise and making the setting coarser.
