Lelit Mara X: Replacing the steam delivery tube

If you are experiencing a steam leak, and tightening the fitting does not resolve it, then please follow along with these instructions on how to remove and replace the steam delivery tube

Tools Needed:

• Philips head screwdriver
• 17mm crescent wrench
• 14mm crescent wrench
• PTFE tape OR food safe thread sealant
• Replacement steam delivery tube (reach out to our Tech Department to order)

1. Remove the top panel to gain access to this tube.

2. Use the 17mm crescent wrench to turn counterclockwise to loosen this retaining nut.

3. Then use the 14mm wrench to loosen the top retaining nut on top of the steam boiler (if you need more room, you may try removing the temperature probe to make more space). You may need to use a second 14 or 15mm crescent wrench to hold the lower fitting in place as the top nut is loosened.

4. Wrap the threads of the steam valve and the adaptor piece on top of the boiler with some PTFE tape of food grade sealant before installing the new copper pipe. And then follow these directions in reverse.
