Removing the Lower Front Panel

  1. Removing the front panel may be necessary to service the three-way solenoid. There are eight screws holding this panel in place. With the machine upright, remove the four on the front panel using the larger #2 Philips head screwdriver.

It may be necessary to brace the machine with one hand while turning the screwdriver with the other to prevent stripping the screws.

  4. Wiggle the front panel until it is able to slide past the grouphead and steam wand. Rotating the steam wand inwards may create a bit more clearance. Exercise care not to scratch or damage any of the chrome plating.
